It also has an international cricket stadium and conference hall .It has a large fisheries harbor and a vibrant fishing industry. It also has beautiful beaches caressed by the   clear blue waters of the surrounding Indian ocean. The areas surrounding are bio-diverse with dry zone scrub jungle with plenty of wild life for the enthusiast, and areas of agriculture.
