Bentota

This is Sri Lanka’s foremost and first seaside resort  town, with the beginning of tourism. Situated 65 KM south of Colombo ,this seaside resort is one of the top ten beach destinations in Asia, and is featured in  the  list of Forbes Best  Beaches in Asia Award 2010. It has kilometers of pristine sandy beaches and is a paradise for beach lovers, who enjoy safe swimming, and surfing. It has several world class resort hotels and restaurants catering to the tourists tastes for   Sri Lankas different cuisines and delectable sea food. Situated at the mouth of the Bentota river its lagoon is internationally acclaimed for its water sports facilities. For the adventurous there are mangrove boat safaris, and river boat trips to view the crocodiles. It has an amazing bio-diversity with all to be experienced within walking distances.
